Manager, Budgets & Reporting
CBC North
Yellowknife, Yukon

As Canada's public broadcaster, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Radio-Canada (CBC) is committed to providing all Canadians with broadcasting services that reflect and celebrate the country's diverse heritage, culture and stories.

At the core of the CBC is unique programming and content that brings Canadian perspectives, values and talents to the national stage. Through regional and national programming, the CBC connects Canadians to each other, and leverages programming, marketing/promotional campaigns, outreach opportunities and partnerships to connect communities and Canadians. Nowhere is this more true than at CBC North.

CBC North is the public broadcaster for Canada's North, providing radio, television, and new media programming to the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Nunavik (the Inuit of Northern Quebec), and Eeyou Istchee (the Cree of Northern Quebec). Unique in its scope of coverage and its dedication to Aboriginal and Inuit culture and languages, CBC North plays a vital role in preserving and developing some of Canada's earliest and most poignant communities.

An opportunity exists in Yellowknife for a Manager, Budget and Reporting, to support CBC North as it strives to achieve its mandate. Reporting to the Regional Controller, you will lead a team to assist in planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and business administration for CBC North. In addition, you will provide financial support to production managers for Radio and Television programs/series and special features as required. Some projects will involve collaboration with CBC's corporate office, which will provide some travel opportunities, a diversity of experience and exposure that will enable career progression opportunities.

CBC North is looking for a key achiever who has experience managing a small accounting department that has been charged with bringing financial accountability to a creative endeavor. As the successful candidate you will live in a community brimming with youth, energy, and adventure and be part of a dynamic broadcaster bringing an important service to the people of the North.

If you have a designation in accounting, enjoy travel and are ready to explore the North and your own potential, call Derrick Chow, Barbara Quelch or Patrick Reynolds at (604) 685-0261 for more information or forward your resume in confidence to derrick.chow@rayberndtson.ca
