Located in Vancouver, the company is a privately owned business, with a long-standing reputation for excellent customer service, reliability, and quality. With successful operations in New Zealand and Australia, the company expanded its operations to Canada in 2002 and has grown at a rate of approximately 100% per year to provide service to approximately 30,000 households. In 2006, it will distribute approximately 150,000 packaged goods equating to approximately 7.5 million items.
With a great story to tell and quality products to deliver, the company is looking to increase the buzz around this consumer business and to build the brand and customer base. Accountable to the General Manager, Canada, the new Director, Marketing, will be a key member of the country leadership team and play an integral role in determining and executing both the operating and strategic marketing plans, and resulting tactics. With a budget of approximately $4 million and a small team, the successful candidate will play a hands-on role in the operational leadership of the company's marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate is an experienced creative and disciplined marketer with broad experience in a progressive, well-respected consumer marketing organization. Experience in retail, grocery, liquor distribution, or direct response marketing would be a distinct asset. From a personal perspective, the ideal candidate is a talented communicator with very high energy, passion for the business and capacity for work. He/she demonstrates a proactive pitch-in work style and contributes enthusiastically at both strategic and operational levels.
