Volunteer Loaned Representatives
United Way of the Lower Mainland Vancouver, BC. For 76 years, United Way has been helping people in the Lower Mainland. The organization plays a unique leadership role in our community by understanding and responding to social service needs in the Lower Mainland, with a focus on investing in prevention-based programs.
Each year, thousands of volunteers help raise dollars for our community. Essential to the annual campaign is the Loaned Representative team that works with workplaces to plan and implement United Way fundraising efforts. As a strategic partner of United Way, Ray & Berndtson/Tanton Mitchell is building the 2006 Loaned Representative team and we are actively recruiting additional volunteers.
As a full-time volunteer Loaned Representative you will have direct contact with workplace volunteers in a role that is fundamental to the success of the campaign. You will be given extensive coaching in marketing/sales, public speaking, time management, negotiation skills, and relationship building. You will begin your professional training August 28th and work until December 15th in one of the most dynamic community building organizations in the country. You will be exposed to and working alongside corporate, community and labour leaders throughout the Lower Mainland.
This is the chance of a lifetime to have a significant impact on our community and develop an exceptional personal and professional network.
If you have the time to give to our community and have access to transportation, we will introduce a new world of opportunities to you.
