Reporting to the Vice President, Planning the Manager, Transportation Research and Technical Services will lead the Transportation Research and Technical Services department. With responsibility for developing and managing an effective monitoring, research and forecasting program capable of providing transportation information and data for policy, funding and planning decisions, the new manager will be instrumental in revolutionizing travel in the lower mainland of British Columbia.

With 10 years experience in transportation engineering, planning or research the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success leading a team of technical resources. In addition, superior technical capabilities, excellent communication skills and the ability to develop effective relationships are a must. Experience in transportation data collection methods, data processing and analysis as well as macro demand and micro-simulation modeling is necessary. A Master's Degree in Transportation Engineering, Research or Planning, or equivalent, is also preferred.
