Senior Food Scientist
High Liner Foods Incorporated

High Liner Foods Inc. is looking for an experienced Food Scientist to join its progressive Product Development Team. This role will report directly to the Product Development Manager, and will be based out of the corporate head office in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

The Food Scientist is accountable for the formulation and development of new products from their concept stage to prototype and full-scale production. The incumbent will actively follow High Liner's New Product Development Process and is responsible for employing the latest scientific and technological knowledge with respect to techniques, process, methods, materials and ingredients.

As the ideal candidate, you are a seasoned food scientist with five to seven years experience in product development within the food processing industry. Knowledge of nutrition, ingredient functionality and processing techniques is integral. You are a strong project manager with the experience and ability to prioritize multiple projects. You have excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with ESHA Genesis Product Development & Labeling software is an asset.
