Formed in 1997, the Alberta Conservation Association ('ACA') is a provincial, non-profit registered charitable association that is committed to working with Albertans to conserve, protect and enhance our natural biological resources so that future generations can value, enjoy and use those resources.
Evolving originally from the Alberta Fish and Wildlife Trust Fund, ACA is now governed by a multi-stakeholder Board of Directors represented by hunting and fishing organizations, conservation groups, government and First Nation's representatives.
As the Managing Director, you will work closely with the Board of Directors in leading the ACA through the execution of its current strategic business plan and the development of future plans. You will lead a team of both full time and seasonal employees and be responsible for an annual budget of $10 million. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be crucial in the advancement and the promotion of the ACA's messages and services.
You likely possess a Science, Business or Public Administration Degree. You have proven leadership experience within a natural resource management organization and are knowledgeable and supportive of Alberta's hunting and fishing industries. You are an excellent manager and able to work with diverse multi-stakeholder groups. You are professional, self-motivated, results oriented and have a high level of enthusiasm and energy. You are ready to grow your career and work collaboratively to conserve, protect and enhance our natural resources.
